Student Resident
The Student Resident reports to the Minister, Student & Young Adult Director. This is a support-raised, full-time position from August – July.
Position Summary
The Student Resident will play a vital role in fostering a vibrant and invitational atmosphere within our Student Ministry. The Student Resident will provide discipleship, leadership, and contribution to the overall growth of our Student Ministry.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the Minister, Student & Young Adult Director with executing a ministry strategy for reaching and connecting with local middle and high school students
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parachurch leaders, local teachers, coaches, and administrators to create a supportive and welcoming environment
- Assist in developing and delivering compelling and relevant teachings during regular Student Ministry gatherings
- Assist in the planning and execution of student ministry connection, catalytic, and formational events.
- Assist in recruiting and equipping volunteers
- Active involvement in the life of TVC, including staff meetings and events
Qualifications and Requirements
- Agree with The Village Church's Expectations of Membership, Statement of Faith and Theological Distinctives and commit to exhibit a lifestyle that is consistent with the same
- High school diploma required
- Bachelor's degree and/or Biblical Studies/Seminary experience preferred
- Experience working with or volunteering with students
- Experience in leading, shepherding, and equipping volunteers
- Proficient in administration, communication, and event planning and execution
- Ability to work within the context of a team
- Flexible and adaptable
